About the Website
This website was created back in 1998 by me (Rob). I became a Reivers fan while going to college in the late 80s, and though I didn’t live in Texas, I managed to see them live once during that heyday, on their Pop Beloved tour. I also attended the first reunion show in Austin in 2008.
Though the site wasn’t created by (and isn’t maintained by) the band, they have been quite involved with it over the years and for all intents and purposes I guess you could say it’s been a semi-official website.
Due to a variety of factors, the site received a simplified redesign in 2024.
*Thanks to the multitude of people who have contributed to the website since the beginning, especially:
John Cole, who contributed a huge amount of his time & expertise, providing website technical and design guidance and advice, and who web-hosted the site for a number of years.
Rafael Rodriguez and Ed Zeitz, whose unfailingly excellent concert photos of the band have made the website much more artistic than it would have been otherwise.
Arthur Chan, who was an integral part of the early development of the site with his supply of press clippings and more.
Michael Adams, who provided lots of rare and appreciated additions (in physical form, no less!) to the discography.
Mark Porter, special agent in Austin.
